HOW TO REVERSE TOO MUCH SALT IN YOUR FOOD.

Salt is a very interesting ingredient in our daily food preparation and without salt in your food, many may say, food is just tasteless.

I've seen and heard many people throw away their foods and had to start everything from scratch. It's such a brilliant idea but I thinks it's really frustrating and time consuming.

Whilst growing up,I had a chef as a mum and honestly my mum's accuracy in measurements without any measuring cups or tools during cooking and baking was overwhelming. She always got it right but once in a while she had to get something wrong along the line because maybe she was not paying too much attention and along the line she had to go back and prepare a different meal and mix with the salty one.

While growing up,I kept wondering about how accidents like these in the kitchen could be reversed because we all eventually took over my mum and we were taking orders to prepare dishes and pastries for weddings parties, funerals etc, etc.

So I had to research and also some primary test in my own kitchen to see what would work best in situations like these where you find yourself confused and desperately looking forward to how you could correct too much salt in your food or probably minimise the taste of salt in your food. I have these tips for you and I'm sure they will help you very well so let's dive into it right away.

TWO BEST WAYS TO REDUCE SALT IN YOUR FOOD:

1) POTATOES,YAM, CASSAVA,COCOYAM, ETC..

IF you happen to cook your sauces, stew, soap or any food that literally is watery and you can dice some pieces of any of the above raw, uncooked tubers into it, then you're good to go.

Just peel and wash your available yam, potato, cassava etc and cut them into pieces, not too small and then add them to the food that has too much salt in it. Close the pot or pan for about 5 to 10 minutes then remove them and you'll have your food tasting normal on salt.

If you can still taste too much salt, repeat the process but just make sure you don't over cook your food.

2)ADD EXTRA FOOD INGREDIENTS:

In this context, you can add more of the vegetables you are using to prepare the meal and taste for salt until you're okay. No need throwing away the pan of soup or sauce.

However,if the food you are preparing are grains and adding extra will end up making some grains well cooked and others uncooked then all you have to do is allow the first pan/pot to cook almost well, then prepare a different portion and then when that is also through, add the both into a different or same pan if there is enough space then miss very well adding a bit of water when necessary then cover up and allow it to cook on a low heat to for the vapour to steam them together.

I HOPE THESE TIPS ARE HELPFUL AND NEXT TIME,YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO THROW AWAY YOUR FOOD BECAUSE OF SALT.

HAPPY EATING 🥳

Often times we hurt ourselves even more than an enemy's attack. Life is such that you are what you believe you are. Your strongholds are the mindset and believ...
